went from thinking nobaras annoying and just comic relief to liking her as an actual character over this season, the character development for everyone really was great and for it to only be in 24 episodes makes me wish the 2nd season would come sooner

What happens to the fingers when he eats them? Does he absorb them or are they just sitting there in his stomach???

he has two souls, his own and Sukuna's. the fingers along with all of Sukuna were turned into cursed objects, Sukuna is essentially immortal even though he's dead. when Sukuna died the first time, he used all his curse energy inside himself to turn himself into a walking talking thinking and fighting cursed object. basically, his soul and curse energy exist inside his body like it is a robot or golem and the two permeate it entirely. when Yuuji ate that first finger it dissolved into soul and curse energy and permeated Yuuji and Sukuna tried to take Yuuji over as a new vessel and living body. but, Yuuji has some form of resistance to Sukuna, or forms of possession, or something and Yuuji is keeping Sukuna locked up inside. all Sukuna can do without Yuuji's consent to switch (or following their pact) is look out from inside Yuuji, listen to sounds, sense curse energy, and make mouths to talk smack and eat fingers with.

just like conservation of mass and energy says... you can't destroy energy or matter, just convert them back and forth or dissipate them until they're so diffuse their existence itself is called into question i.e., entropy... unless you add in anti-matter... which technically can't exist in this universe. because as soon as you 'find some elsewhere' and bring it here, even a tiny particle of anti-matter would destroy itself along with any particles of matter it encounters. but that destruction itself is merely conversion of matter and anti-matter into energy and anti-energy.

so when Yuuji eats a finger the mass is converted back into soul and curse energy and joins with Sukuna's soul and curse energy.
